What I Found:
These product could not have come at a better time. It is freezing in Philadelphia! Going to school downtown also does not help because it’s like walking in a wind tunnel between all the tall buildings!
The ingredient list on these products have a ton of skin healthy oils in them! I’m honestly surprised these are so cheap because of it. I really do love these balms
Mwah Lip Glosses Impression:
I have to admit I am not a fan of lip glosses, I find most to be sticky and runny and just yucky.
That being said these lip glosses aren’t so bad. I don’t find them to be sticky. They taste pretty good too. The Berrylicious flavor is my favorite of the 3 I got to review. I have to say I don’t find my lips to be drier or more moisturized after use. They stay about the same as they were before I used the lip glosses.
All that being said I’m still not a lip gloss convert, they are still my least favorite lip product. I will continue to use the Berrylicious flavor because it tastes so good and it has a lovely pink tint to it. – Which is great for layering over the MAC Viva Glam Miley lipstick.
Mwah Lip Balm Stick Impression:
I really like these lip balms. They glide on nicely, gives a nice subtle shine to the lips as well but not a glossy shine. Another great thing is they come in fun flavors like Mango Madness, Creamsicle and Strawberry Sweetheart. Mango Madness is my flavor!
I have to admit I gave the creamsicle lip balm to my mom to try, I can’t stand that flavor personally. My mom liked the lip balm. She also liked the flavor, it gave the right amount of slip. Maybe not as much moisture as she’d want but she would continue to use it.
There was one thing my mom and I agreed on about these products, the wear time is short, maybe 2 hours. I had to keep reapplying these. It doesn’t bother me since it is a lip balm, not a lipstick. I really like to apply these to my lips before I step outside to protect them against the cold and wind.
I like the balms but I would reserve to use these more in the Summer/Fall/Spring time. Not as much moisture as I need for winter- I get super dry skin so I use the night time treatments 24/7 in the winter.
Mwah Lip Balm Slider Impression:
I want to first address application. A lot of people complain about how it comes in a tray and it’s not sanitary. My fix is take the tray and apply it directly to your lips. It looks a tad funny but I don’t have to dip my fingers in it! I really like this trays, they’re different. They also fit into pockets a lot smoother as well. I have to admit I feel like this and the lip balm sticks are the same exact thing just different application forms. If you like one you’d like the other.
While I liked both the slider and stick form of this lip balm I wouldn’t wear this a lot in the winter by themselves. Since these are not overtly moisturizing I like to layer the balms under my drying lipstick to give just enough slip to make the application smoother.
I need more of a moisture kick. I will most definitely use this in the summer! These are perfect for summer! The flavors just go with that season!
VERDICT: I would recommend these as a summer lip balm treat. The Mango flavors are the best! I do not recommend the lipglosses though but that is because I would not repurchases them myself, I am not a lipgloss fan.
