I can not honestly remember the last time I bought a box, probably a year ago. Well even when I skipped the boxes every month I still racked up a bunch of points. I saved up so many points I was able to get the Julep Maven May box for free as well as another add on polish for free! I was beyond excited. The fact that it’s been so long since I got my last Julep Maven box, it’s been so long since I loved every color in the box. Not just one. I loved all three colors in my box but I just had to get the add on color Laree. In the swatches it’s a pink with gold glitter, that looks beautiful. Ironically enough that is the only one I haven’t swatched yet. I received my box the 3rd or 4th of May I believe.
I was beyond excited about all the color in this box. I used Paulette first. It’s a lovely lilac color with gold glitter. I used one of my older base coat, it’s half used but at little sticky. Paulette ended up bubbling on me. I only kept it on for the weekend.
On that following Monday I painted my nails with Iona which wasn’t my favorite at first but I instantly fell in love. It’s such a pretty blue/purple color. It’s a cream finish. I didn’t use the same base coat as I used with Paulette. No bubbling and it lasted over from Sunday to Sunday with only tip wear which is totally livable! I know I’ll be repainting with this soon!
I just painted my nails with Jules last night. It’s the perfect nude pink in my opinion and I will buy another bottle to have as a back up. I used the same base coat as I did with Paulette with some bumpiness so I now know for sure it’s the base coat’s fault and it’s time to throw it out. Jules is perfect for the office and professional settings.
VERDICT: I’m in love with all these polishes. Buy the backups of Iona and Jules will be a splurge, I love these polishes but the bottles are so small!
