I recived this mascara months ago after I wrote a complaint about how I did not feel welcomed to shop in my local MAC store. You can read it here. By principal a mascara won’t make the situation better, but I couldn’t help but test this out. See what I think of my first MAC mascara!
What it Promises: Major drama. Lasts all day. Creamy, velvety formula builds density and conditions. Feels light, supple. Ultra-sculpted brush has three-sided fibres to embrace and separate each lash, hugging every curve. Coats in one stroke from root to tip. No smudging.
What I found:
I was somewhat excited to try this. I prefer waterproof formulas do use on my watery eyes. The wand is has short stubby bristles. Just what I like, so they can grab all the lashes.
When I first used this my first thought was man this is super watery. It just went down hill from there. It’s such a wet formula that it took forever to dry. I also had smudging issues when applying. I wanted to like this mascara because it has my favorite type of mascara brush but the formula had little to be desired.
You can see in the photos below the smudging on my waterline from the wet formula. BUT you can also see how amazing my lashes look!!!
- Lengthening to the max!!!!!
- I look like I have a full fringe for once!
- Super wet formula
- Wear time about 4 hours before fading away
- Expensive $16 for a mascara
VERDICT: This mascara may deliver also lengthening and volumizing abilities but with it’s wet and smudgy formula I just can’t use it. Which makes me so sad!! Maybe I’ll have to try the waterproof version of this, if there is one! I have to say that this is not worth the splurge. Pass. Sells at MAC for $16.
