NOTD Baby Cakes

This is my right hand, not even my dominate one!

So it being October I’m going to be like a lot of other bloggers out there and try to do a pink October. This will be new for me because I’ve been doing a red october the last couple of years, for the Phillies. Since they’re not in the playoffs anymore I’ll be doing pink October instead this month for beast cancer awareness.

This October hits a little closer to home for me this year, my one aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer, but she caught it super early so the doctors say she should be making a full recovery. It’s still scary but it’s great to know that her doctor has no fear of her beating this.

My other Aunt is doing the 3day walk this October in Philadelphia. I’m super proud of her, and it just blows me away all the women that get involved with this. I know I’ll be joining her on the walk next year.

Okay now down to business. I painted my nails with Jessie’s Girl nail polish in baby cakes. I lent this polish out by the time I sat down to type up this review so if you wanna check out the nail polish bottle you can see it in this post.

Here’s what I thought about this polish: I love the color, it’s a great Neon pink color AND it isn’t streaky!! It dries super quick, and matte. I didn’t like that but I put on a top coat anyway so that fixed that problem. But this polish chips like crazy!! I did my usual mani routine, OPI’s chip skip, china glaze base coat, and a clear top coat. I had to take them off after the third day.

Verditc: Well I’m not surprised that I had crazy chipping problems, it was $1.99. Would I buy it again? No. I’ll continue my hunt for the perfect neon pink for my summer nails somewhere else. But if you do paint your nails every other day then, this has enough color in it that it would be worth your money.
