Sally’s Beauty Supply was having buy 2 get 1 free sale, who could say no to that? So I picked up three products from Beyond the Zone brand. I heard great results from this brand, from friends and online so I was like what the Heck I’ll give it a try! If you read below you can see what I thought of the Flat Iron spray.
I’ve been using TRESemme Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse happily for months now. I have no real complaints about it other than the smell, not the greatest out there. So when I saw that Sally’s had a sale on a brand my friend has been RAVING about to me, I was like what the hell might as well.
Turn up the heat comes in a see-threw orange container, I got the larger size 8.5 Fl. The product doesn’t have any odor from what I can tell. I like that because I’m still able to smell my shampoo. It sprays clear also.
So on the bottle it saids to spray 8inches from the hair, and it seriously means that. The first time I used it I sprayed too close and too much. I ended up with an oil slick on my head after the first use.
I was super upset, lately all the new products I’ve been trying have been duds for me. So I told my friend about it and she taught me a trick to make this product workable for me. Since I do have thin hair, whilst she had thick, I have to be super careful with this product because it’s so heavy. What she told me I had to do was only use it on wet hair, spray twice onto my hand, rub them together then start from the bottom up to work it into my hair. I can’t use this on dry hair and no more than two sprays.
Verdict Well when I use this product the way she taught me I like it. I’m not sure at this point if I will buy this again when I get through the one I have now. This is definitely a product more suited for those with Relaxed hair, or thick hair. Fine and oily hair beware. It’s a steal for the amount of product you get for the price, I got mine for $7 and this baby will last me a loooooong time!
Have you tried this? Have you tried any other product from this brand? Did you like it? Any heat protection products to recommend?
