|In the Shade|
When I think of summer I think of dresses, hot pink nails and tanned skin. So as the summer slips away, and fall nail colors hitting the stores now, I figured that this was my last chance to do some crazy colors on my nails before heading back to school.( Which I go back TOMORROW! I’m super excited!)
Essie’s Pink Parka was the perfect polish for the job. In the bottle it is a super bright, neon pink polish, and on the nails it doesn’t disappoint.
The application of this nail polish was a nightmare! The brush bristles were extra long and heavy. The polish painted on very streaky. The formula is fast drying. The polish started to dry before I was even finished painting the nail; leaving it a streaky mess. In the pictures I used three coats to try and even out the color. Without a top coat the nails seemed almost matte, no shine of it’s own.
Even with all the application problems, when looking at the nails from far away you do not see the streaking problem. The polish lasted a week with minimal chipping and wear.
Verdit Even with the application problems, and the chipping factor I will continue to use this polish. Until I find a new neon pink that matches the vibrance of Essie’s Pink Parka, this one will be staying with me. But I’m on the hunt for a better neon pink. How could you not like this summer pink polish, it practically glows in the sun!
What do you think of this color? Do you know any other great neon pinks to try?
