As those who follow my Instagram and my twitter you already know I was getting ready to get engagement photos taken. I rarely wear full coverage foundation now that my severe acne cleared up so it's natural to be on the hunt for a good foundation! I of course went to Sephora for some advice. I was told to try Makeup Forever's HD Foundation. Click down below to see how I liked it.
What it promises:
What it is:
An oil-free medium-to-full-coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life.
What it does:
This foundation creates a soft-focus effect, which is designed to meet the coverage concerns of those in the spotlight. It leaves your complexion with such a flawless finish, it can withstand bright or harsh lighting.
What else you need to know:
This Sephora-exclusive foundation comes in 26 shades to suit all skintones.
What I found:
I have to admit this foundation is beautiful. I actually find myself wearing foundation more and more these days over my favorite BB creams and foundations. This applies like a dream, and doesn't get cakey when I use my double layer technique to achieve flawless coverage. I also rarely use concealer except when I have a big blemish!
This foundation photographs beautifully! I mean it, just look!
My skin look flawless in this photo!
Here's my current foundation routine, and live action of the Makeup Forever HD Foundation in the video below:
I'm already on my second bottle of this foundation. I use this basically every day. I use it over primer, usually my clinque brightening primer.
- Flawless finish
- medium coverage
- doesn't cake up
- doesn't break me out
- 8+ hours of wear with primer and setting powder
- product lasts for 2-4 months
- So expensive!!! *cue crying every time I repurchase*
VERDICT: Man do I love this foundation! I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive! I'll still repurchase this since using 4-5 times a week it lasts about 4 months isn't really that bad. I have to say it's a must have! Perfect for using taking big photos.
