Worth the Hype?: OCC Lip Tar NSFW Review

Purchased.
worth the hype , occ lip tar nswf swatch, worth the hype occ lip tar, occ lip tar, ooc lip tar nswf,
Everyone has bound to heard of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tars by now. There has been dupes made for it by now. Which I tried the dupe first, curtesy of my Ipsy bag. I bought this originally back in December for a wedding I was attending and this review somehow got lot among the shuffle of things. Click down below to see what I think!

What it Promises:

What I found:
Well have to admit I do not see what all the hype is about with this one or it's dupe. The lasting power isn't there. Both lip products transfer too! Things that both can't happen when using a red lip product.

I'm honestly not impressed with this at all. I do like the lip primer but not the Color Lip Tars. I don't understand the fuss with these. They're too messy and it's not practical or lifeproof.
You can check out my full video swatches and review down below:

I applied the red with an angled brush which did make application a little easier but even then it could and did get a bit messy.

I applied the lip tar before the ceremony and right before the cocktail hour but by the end of the night it looked like I didn't even use lipstick. I'm not impressed, other than using for halloween looks I don't see the point.

I must admit that OCC Lip Tar in NSFW is the most beautiful and true red. I loved how great it looked with my skin tone and stood out against my dark navy dress.

PROS:
  • Does not test on animals
  • Vegan
  • Fairly affordable for the huge amount of product you get for the price
CONS:
  • Transfers
  • Does not have any sort of longevity when it comes to drinking or eating
  • Does not stain longer than an hour
  • Messy to apply, even with than angled brush!

VERDICT: Well I just don't think the liquid lipstick scene is for me. I know this is a highly rated product but I don't like it since I found it didn't have lasting power and it transferred everywhere, and I really do mean everywhere. This is a skip for me!
