If you guys don't already know I'm a huge fan of cleansing products, cleansing conditioner, cleansing oil, conditioner washing. If there is a way to clean something in a conditioning matter sign me up! When I found out The Body Shop made a Cleansing Oil I had to pick it up during their Black Friday sale. Click down below to see how I like it!

Well let me start off saying this is actually my first experience with a cleansing oil, therefore I will not be comparing this against anything.

I've been looking for an better way to remove my foundation and face makeup without having to double wash my face. I used to wash my face once with a cleanser and then follow up with my Peter Thomas Roth Anti Aging cleanser. The problem was that it was beginning to get too drying for my skin. I wanted to find a product I only had to wash my face once.

I decided to try The Body Shop's cleansing oil because the Camomile base sounded perfect for my sensitive(ie Picky) skin. I picked this up doing The Body Shops Black Friday sale for the 3 for $33.

The directions say to apply to dry skin and message in. I use 3 pumps for my face I apply it to the center of my face and work it into my skin first. Then message it into my lashes. I use a lash primer and a mascara so I find I really have to message it in to remove all the makup.

I feel like this does an excellent job removing my face makeup and does NOT break me out! It's a miracle since so many products break me out! I do not feel like I have to wash my face a second time to get rid of left over foundation. When I do use this cleansing oil I do not wash my face for a second time like I used to.

My only issue with this cleansing oil is that it doesn't always remove all of my eye makeup. I will admit it does a good job but it does leave behind traces of mascara and sometimes eyeliner from my waterline.

Pros:
  • Leaves my skin feeling clean
  • Does not leave behind a film
  • Does not break me out
  • Does not test on animals and ethically sources it's materials.

Cons:
  • Does not remove all of my heavy mascara or waterline eyeliner.

VERDICT: With that being said with only 1 con that I can fix easily with a quick swipe of baby oil, not rubbing required I will not Hesitate to repurchase this when I run out. My skin feels so clean after words, and I do not feel like it leaves a film behind. I don't even wash my face again, no more double washing for me!
