December Wen TSV Preview

I find it so fitting my return to blogging is to share the December Wen TSV! I am back with big news! I found a job! I finally found a big girl job after college! After countless interviews with the response of not having enough experience I landed a full time job! Yay! Now I FINALLY have time to blog again! Glad to be back!

Onto the QVC Wen TSV. Every December they do a Wen Sampler pack.  This year is no different. The TSV has 5 bottles of cleansing conditioners in a set, with 3 different sets to choose from. The code for a 1 shipment is A269927 and the Auto Delivery shipment with 2 total sets is A276132. The TSV is $79.90 with the option of 5 easy pays for about $16 + S&H and tax.

What is different this year is the fact you can choose the Protein filled Cleansing Conditioner option of Bamboo Green Tea, Mandarin Fig and a Fragrance Cleansing Conditioner!

What's included with the Protein Cleansing Conditioners are 2 Bamboo Green Tea (Review here), 2 Mandarin Fig, 1 Fragrance Free.

Another set is filled with the regular flavors.

I have tried all of these flavors. My Favorite scent wise is Fig(review) and Sweet Almond Mint. My hair looks the best with Fig, Lavender(Review). Since I started using Tea Tree oil myself and my hair dresser notice new growth! If you're new to Wen I totally suggest this set! Here's a total brand review

It came out with the usual seasonal flavors.

I have tried all of these but Winter Mint. My favorite out of this group is torn between Ginger Pumpkin and Honey Lilac(Review). While I love how my hair smells and looks with Pumpkin, I'm not a fan of the scent of Honey Lilac. As for Honey Peach and Coconut Lime I don't really like how it treated my hair, they felt oily and knotty at the bottom. (Review)

Overall I'm backing this as a good buy. I am personally skipping this due to I picked up the September TSV in two different flavors and all stocked up! Will you be buying this TSV? Which are your favorite flavors?

Twinsie Tuesday: Nails Inspired By Your Favorite Fictional Character

Purchased.

I have to say that trying to find a new job has been eating up all my free time. It makes me push blogging to the back burner! Hopefully I can get into a routine!

Does anyone have suggestions for getting yourself into a blogging routine?
twinsie Tuesday, Twinsie tuesday BBF, nail art, twinsie tuesday nail art, gelish party at the palace swatch, a beauty and the business,

I am beyond pleased to announced that I have been welcomed to be a part of Twinsie Tuesday. I have been following it throughout the years during my blogging journey! This week's challenge is Nails Inspired By Your Favorite Fictional Character.

I HAD to pick Celaena Sardothien/Aelin Galathynius from the Throne of Glass series. I have been reading this series long before she actually was published when it was online. That's how much a a bookworm I used to be! It has changed a lot when she had her series offically published but I still loved the main character. There was never enough badass women characters in books. She needs no one to save her, which I love!

A little bit about the series, it starts off as a young adult story but honestly by the 4th book it's not so young adult anymore. The story progresses with the development of the main character becoming even more of a badass. The story is set in a far off land back in medieval times with magic and feyres and witches. I just love it, I just don't feel like I'm doing it justice because there is just SO much going on in the series!

Today's manicure I wanted to do it based on her magical powers of fire!

What is a favorite book series of yours?

Worth the Splurge? Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks

One thing I will always say is you need a good lipstick to pull you together. If there's only two things I put on before I leave the house is mascara and lipstick. What's important about a lipstick is not only it's color but wear time, no one likes to look patchy! See what I have to think about the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks down below! Do they live up to the features of a great lipstick?

What it promises:

What it is:
A long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish.

What it does:
Now with 16 additional, bold shades of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick for all-night wear, this innovative formula gives lips long-lasting wear and high-pigment color. Its creamy, color-rich formula glides over lips like a gloss but dries to a true matte finish. It’s infused with natural comfort-enhancing ingredients, including vitamin E and sunflower seed so you can flaunt lasting matte color that leaves lips feeling comfortable.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens

What I found:

I have to come right out and say - I'm in love with them! I own four colors so far, saving my pennies to get a few more! These seriously have become a staple for me, and a purchased the basic and fun color to put in my makeup artist kit as well!

Not only do these photograph well they are so lifeproof it's great to wear for special occasions to have lasting lip color! Kiss proof too! - Well light kissing, like wedding day kisses!

These can be a little messy to apply so I suggest using a lip pencil to create your outline then fill in with the liquid lipsticks. Take filling in your lips a section at a time to help with the neat crisp lines!

Who doesn't love a good selfie?

Another amazing thing about this bran is that it's Cruelty Free! Yay! I'm working my way to all cruelty free makeup so this is great news for me!

Am I the only one who some how misplaces products when I need to review them? Honestly it happens so often it drives me crazy! Here are my swatches below, don't mind the repeats Requeium decided to go for a walk so I had to have repeat swatches.

Top to bottom: Beloved, Outloaw, Noble

Top to bottom: Beloved, Noble, Requiuem

PROS
  • Long Lasting
  • Kiss Proof
  • Food proof as long as using silverware and straws
  • Beach proof
  • Bar proof
  • retail job proof
  • Cruelty Free
  • Creamy to apply
  • Quick to Dry

CONS:
  • Not all colors lasts as long as others. - Noble I'm looking at you!
  • Can be messy to apply
  • Pricy - but not really since you get a lot of bang for your buck!

VERDICT: Overall I'm in love with these liquid lipsticks and highly suggest you pick up at least the basics then a fun color! I can not recommend these liquid Lipsticks enough! LOVE them! Seriously guys go out and by them, like run!

What my plan was to have princess themed nails since her boyfriend and I tell her all the time she looks like a disney princess. Now it didn't turn out like I wanted to, I couldn't get the gold polish to stamp in a crown for my ring finger, le sigh. Still love the blue polish with the gold shimmer in it!

Victoria Secret New Body Care System Weightless Body Oil in Coconut Milk Review

I never like to half ass things, so I did pick up a few items from the Victoria Secret New Body Care System. Today we are talking about the coconut milk weightless body oil. I have been using pure oil on my skin for awhile now, so let's see if this is worth buying a pre-made oil mixture.

victoria secret body oil, victoria secret body care line review, victoria secret coconut milk oil review, review, victoria secret body care system review, weightless body oil, victoria secret coconut milk,
What I found:

The oil has the same soft scent as the other coconut milk products in this line. It feels amazing on the skin. It's an easy oil to rub in as well as it wasn't sticky or greasy on the skin.

It have to admit how nice this body oil is. As long as you don't go overboard with the application it is not greasy. It rubs beautifully into the skin. I actually like to mix the oil with the matching body lotion, or my non scented body creme for days after I shave my legs.

I do notice a difference in my skin's moisture levels when I do incorporate this into my routine. This oil feels so luxurious when I when I use this. I know this will definitely come in handy in the coming colder months.

VERDICT: I have to admit I am pleasantly surprise how nice the oil is! You get so much bang for your buck too! It's a large bottle of oil for 3 for $30, which you can mix and match for other items from this skin care line. I will fully recommend this it moisturizes so well!

Victoria Secret New Body Care System Hydrating Body Lotion in Coconut Milk Review

Purchased.
victoria secret body wash, victoria secret body care line review, victoria secret coconut milk bodywash review, ultra rich cream wash in coconut milk review, victoria secret body care system review, hydrating body lotion, coconut milk body lotion, victoria secret coconut milk

If I buy the body wash of something I always want the matching body lotion, today being no different. I have to admit the promotional price of $8 per item did interest me. (Currently 3 for $30)

What it promises:
Description
Your secret to soft, sexy skin, blending our natural Cotton Moisture Complex for lasting hydration and conditioning coconut milk for ultimate moisture every day.

TIPS & TRICKS:
Step three in our four-step Ultimate Moisture System for nourished, touchable skin from head to toe.
  • Exclusive Cotton Moisture Complex for ultimate hydration
  • Continuous 24-hour moisture
  • Infused with coconut milk for its soothing and moisturizing properties
  • Clinically proven formula
  • International patent-pending technology
  • Paraben free
  • victoria secret body lotion, victoria secret body care line review, victoria secret coconut milk lotion review, review, victoria secret body care system review, hydrating body lotion, victoria secret coconut milk,

What I found:

EDIT: Since using this in the colder months I have found that it is not that moisturizing. When I use it I always mix it with the oil because it is not enough moisture on it's own. I will not be repurchasing the lotion. I will only pick up the oil.

I have to say this lotion smells amazing! While it smells amazing I wouldn't say it's as moisturizing as it claims make it to be. - Not that it's not moisturizing, it is for summer weather that is.

I love to apply this right after I shower or right before I hop in bed, the soft coconut scent is very comforting. The scent also does not interfere with whatever perfume you choose to wear with this. It's a light summery coconut smell, almost like a vanilla coconut soothing scent that would be light enough for baby products. I know that sounds crazy but it makes sense to me!

While the moisture levels are not on par for something I would hope with these kinds of claims but it does make the skin feel super soft after use. My skin does not feel parched half way through the day, but it could use a good dose of moisture in the evening!

After using this lotion for almost a month now I have to say my skin has remained soft and happy when used in combination of the matching cream body wash(review here). I will note I would recommend a heavier lotion for winter use, OR mix in the matching body oil with the lotion for a great moisture punch!

PROS:
  • Smells devine
  • Layers well
  •  Little goes a long way
  • Easily obtainable
  • Lightly moisturizes skin for summer use
CONS:
  • Pricy - picked it up for $8 but normally is 3 for $30
  • Not super moisturizing, will need to be mixed with the matching body oil for winter use.
VERDICT: While I do love this lotion in conjunction with the matching cream body wash and body oil the lotion by itself is a little bit of a dud - a big bummer for me.  EDIT: after using it in the colder months this can not be used alone. While it smells amazing I won't be purchasing this again. Skip
