Happy Thanksgiving 2014!!

I just wanted to write a post about how thankful I am this Thanksgiving. I wanted to write a thank you to all my readers who ready my little space on the web. It's my baby, even though I tend to neglect it when my life gets busy. My blog has been my little space to enjoy what I love. Makeup, and nail polish!

I want to thank the readers who have been there from the very beginning when I was Beauty on a College Budget and has followed me with my name change! I want to thank those who still read my blog when I go weeks at a time without posting. I want to thank those who have also sponsored post on my blog, thank you for the content.

I am beyond thankful for how my life is at the moment, I am going into my last semester of school soon, and my fiancé are gearing up to get our lives in order. I am beyond thankful to have Mr. J in my life, he may take joy in annoying me all the time but I wouldn't change anything for the world.

I can't wait to see where life takes us, and I hope you guys join on us on the ride! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving today!

With Love From Rigby Headbands Review

Purchased. Promo code for readers.
flapper costume, flapper makeup, Halloween 2014, Halloween flapper, tbt, throw back thursday, with love from rigby headband review, with love from rigby review,

I made an order last month with "With Love From Rigby" which is an etsy shop that sells Gatsby inspired beaded headbands. Who the owner, Valery, is absolutely wonderful and pleasant. I could talk to her for days! She's super sweet and is ready to help anyway she can to make the transaction super easy. She also was able to get me my order really quick when I shot her a message about wanting it for a certain time. Which is really nice when you request it an item earlier when it's within reason(or not during a rush time). I have to say by far the nicest Etsy shop I ran across.

Headbands from  "With Love From Rigby" are superb quality. I wear these headbands all the time!! Not just with a flapper costume. I love to use these to hold my bangs back from my face. It adds a little something special to my boring hair style!

These are perfect for spicing up boring braids and ponytails! I do plan on wearing one of her headbands to a wedding I'm going to in December. (I'm going to make another order for it soon!) The fact that I plan to make another order from her after all ready owning three I feel like it stands out for the quality of these headbands.

The beading is done wonderfully and is backed so there is no worry that the beading will break or bend. The beading piece is glued to the elastic headband, not sewed but it looks like it's glued on with gorilla glue so those babies aren't going anywhere any time soon! I've worn two headbands a few days in a row and they still seem brand new.

The cool thing about these headbands is that Valery gives you tons of color bands to choose from! I love that I can pick that option out!! I find it great that we can customize her headbands to fit our needs!

My one complaint is that these slip because my hair is super thin, and I have a big head. Both are no fault to the owner of With Love From Rigby. I actually modified the headbands so they would fit my needs.

I added velvet to the beaded part of the headbands so they won't slip, and I added length to the band by using a hair band and sewed it together. Now the headbands are perfect. I told Valery about how I modified the headbands and she told me for my next order just measure my head and she'll make one a proper size so I wouldn't have these issues.

I am beyond impressed with the quality of the headbands and With love from Rigby's service. I fully suggest everyone to go out and get yourself a headband from her! She can customize her headbands for size and colors! Just message her she's always willing to help. She can also make headbands for kids as well!

Valery from "With Love From Rigby" has graciously given me a coupon code to share with you all!!!  Just use the code: "beautandbiz"  to receive 20% off your total order good from now until December 10th!!!

If you guys need any suggestions for what to get with your 20% off coupon you could buy the 'Polaire' headband! I've been eyeing this for awhile now! If you guys make an order let me know in the comments below which you bought!!

#TBT Halloween 2014 Flapper Look.

Purchased.
I know I know, sharing what I was for Halloween is a little over due right? I get it but I wanted to post it out there to share my smokey look. I had a ton of fun this Halloween. I was a flapper.

My fiance and I, Mr J. went to a friends house for a Halloween party and he actually dressed up this year! I was beyond happy about that! We went as a Flapper girl and Gangster from the 1920s.

I had a ton of fun doing my eye makeup. It's not usually something that I do using dark Black eyeshadow so it was fun to get outside of my comfort zone. I managed to actually not do a half bad job on it either!

I used nice and flirty thick lases from Kiss the feather like lashes. They were beyond comfortable! I was so surprised considering they are such thick lashes!

My makeup stayed all night, I had to reapply the lipstick a bit but that's not unusual!

I think the standout of all the night was my headband. I bought it from "With Love From Rigby" which is an etsy shop that sells Gatsby inspired beaded headbands. Who the owner, Valery is absolutely wonderful and pleasant. I could talk to here for days!. She also was able to get me my order really quick when I shot her a message about wanting it for a certain time. Which is really nice when you request it an item earlier when it's within reason.

The one I wore was perfect and stayed in it's place all night. I got the most compliments on my headbands!

Definitely check her out!

I was thrilled to join this movement because this hits home for me. This should hit home for every woman.

Everyday I go to school and I look around in class I am usually 1 of 4 other girls in my business classes. All my business classes are dominated by boys. I remember when I was first applying to colleges I was told by a few teachers males and females (mostly Nuns) that I wouldn't like business and I should be a teacher instead. That business is a boys club. I am tired of hearing it, and I am proud to be a business student! It's a tough subject but nothing I can't handle!!

Another thing that I am in love that Covergirl is holding this campaign is because not only do I hear as girl but also as a business student that makeup isn't appropriate for work. If I want to wear light makeup I will. I can be pretty (with, or without makeup) and do business!

This movement is so empowering and I hope all women start using the #girlscan hashtag!

I created a simple everyday look, that is also office appropriate using Covergirl:

    • Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in shade 820
    • Covergirl Eye Enhancers in Pure Romance
    • Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara
    • Covergirl Flipstick Lipstick in Stunner
I love this look because it's perfect for everyday. If you add a little lipstick using the Flipstick Lipstick then it transforms for a soft look for a night out! The power of lipstick to wow every time!

October Favorites 2014

October has been an crazy hectic school/work month. Lots of projects due for school, and lots of night hours at my job! I didn't have a lot of time for blogging in October but hopefully Novemeber I'll find more time!

I have been going between my MAC studio tech foundation (see review here) and my MUFE HD foundation all this month.

I pulled out my Wen Fall Apple Spice from the reserves to use this month and next month. I love the scent of this. It's the essence of fall to me. It's apple-ly heaven! Also my hair is just gorgeous as usual. - I'm so modest I know!

I have been obsessed with wearing my pandora bracelets lately. I have a metal bracelet and a black leather one. I have a ton of little charms that hold a bit of meaning for me due to who gave them to me. I have an owl charm because I go to Temple University and a hedgehog because I want one so bad. Those are just a few that I love.

I've been also using the Red Cherry #747s lashes, perfect for everyday use! Easy to apply and lightweight feeling.

Mac fluidline in blacktrack has been my go to this month for my eyeliner.

Just these little things have been my most reached for things this month. Nothing too exciting. What have you ladies been reaching for this past month?

Check out my other Wen review to find the best pick for you!
Fall Apple Spice  Cleansing Conditioner- This has my review, Before and After photos. My Friend's Before and After photos as well.
