What I found:
I was really excited to try this, I got it on sale when CVS was selling it for $20 and I had a $4 off coupon for skin care, my day was made. I didn't just buy it because it was on sale and I had a coupon. I bought it because I was very self conscious on how my skin looked without makeup, I had acne scares, and craters in my skin, and my skin was so uneven.
I know everyone can agree when they feel like they can't walk around without makeup because their skin is bad we will give anything a try at least once. Am I right? Of course I am. I saw this, read two reviews that said they saw improvement then picked it up for myself.
When I first started using it I noticed it was more of a super light lotion rather than a serum consistency. It also had a distinct smell, it was bad or super floral but it was there. After I applied it I did really feel like it sunk right in which I really like for skin care to feel like. I used this both in the morning and before bed right after I wash my face but before I used my regular lotion.
After using it for about a week my cheeks started to break out. I wasn't too alarmed at first because it was a few days leading up to my visit with mother nature which is a time it's not unusual for me to break out. I tried not to panic and continued to use it.
Mother nature's visit came and went and I was still breaking out. What I noticed about my break outs they were small angry red bumps not like my usual pimples that were white heads. These pimples where higher up on my cheeks not at my chin line which is the area I still get them from time to time.
I then realized something that was supposed to help my skin was breaking me out! I was so upset because my skin felt a little softer and I didn't want to admit this was the cause! I knew better then continuing to use something that was breaking me out. So I returned this back to CVS.
As you can see from the photos above what my skin looked like after 3 weeks of use, my skin seemed extra uneven and had a ton of pimples all over my cheeks. This product was the only new product I introduced to my skin and I knew it was the L'Oreal Youth Code texture perfector serum was breaking me out.
A little goes a long way
Made my skin feel softer
Broke out my sensitive skin
Not for those with sensitive skin
VERDICT: I'm not exactly sure what in the product caused me to break out but it did. I this is a skip for me. I really did want this to work but as you can tell from the photos it broke me out and made my skin tone a bit angry!
