Wen: Fig Cleansing Conditioner Review Before and After Photos

Purchased.
Wen, Wen fig, wen cleansing conditioner, wen cleansing conditioner fig, wen damaged hair, wen saved my hair, wen bleached hair, wen natural highlights, cleansing conditioner, wen fine hair fig, thin hair fig,

To say I'm obsessed with Wen is an understatement. I've been using Wen for about 8 months now, and my hair hasn't been this healthy, shiny and bouncy since before I started to dye my hair. I've drank the kool-aid, fig flavor. I'm in love, and strongly suggest everyone try Wen. Click down below to see the change to my hair it made, and see the results!
What it promises:

What is it: A revolutionary step toward beautiful, healthy-looking, shiny hair. WEN Cleansing Conditioner replaces shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler, leave-in conditioner, and even shaving cream.

Fig is a rich-density cleanser that helps to moisturize, hydrate, and replenish hair. For all hair types, it contains moisturizing properties for medium-to-coarse, wavy-to-curly, and ethnic hair.

Why is it different: WEN cleanses the hair, leaving your hair clean and hydrated without stripping your color or your natural oils. Fig is WEN's most moisturizing formulation, with a rich, dense consistency that works exceptionally well to help moisturize, hydrate, and replenish hair.

How do I use it: Rinse hair thoroughly, then apply to scalp and add a splash of water for a foaming effect. Massage thoroughly into hair, comb through, and leave in for the duration of the shower for maximum cleansing and conditioning. Rinse thoroughly and completely, massaging scalp and running fingers through to the ends. For best results, it is suggested that you cleanse, rinse, and repeat and also use a small amount in your hair as a leave-in conditioner.

How much to use: Apply in four sections: crown, nape, ends on the right, and ends on the left. For hair above your ears, use a minimum of eight pumps (two pumps per section). For hair above your shoulders, use a minimum of 12 pumps (three pumps per section). For hair down to your shoulders, use a minimum of 16 pumps (four pumps per section). For hair past your shoulders, use a minimum of 20 pumps (five pumps per section). For hair to your mid-back, use a minimum of 24 pumps (six pumps per section). For thicker/coarser hair, increase amount of pumps in order to thoroughly cleanse the scalp and hydrate ends.

What I found:

I was completely smitten with Wen when I first tried the Fall seasonal Fall Apple Spice (Review here).  I've used Lavender for about a month before I took the plunge and tried Fig. I was a little worried at first because Fig is the most moisturizing of the scents. I have fine, thin hair so I was worried about my hair being weighed down. That worry so totally unnecessary because my hair has never had so much body until now.

It was love at first use. I've been sulfate-free for 2 1/2 years now so using this cleansing conditioner I was used to the non-foaming texture of this.  The scent of Fig is divine. By far my favorite scent. I reviewed the Fig Replenish Mist and raved about the scent too!

It smells strongly of Fig when you first use this but as the day goes the scent tons done a little but the scent is still noticeable when you sniff my hair. I love it!

As for how it works, it's just amazing. I can totally tell the difference in my hair texture right away. It was much softer than when I use a seasonal cleansing conditioner since this is specifically for dry and damaged hair as well as for the coarser hair types. Even though this is for thick hair it works amazing on my fine, thin hair.

When I use Fig  I can go 2 days between washing my hair.
I usually do the double cleanse with my Fig but sometimes if I'm short on time I only wash once and my hair is fine.

The health of my hair really has improved. It's not squishy anymore! When I started to use Wen my hair was super damaged and squishy in parts. Most of that damaged hair is grown out and cut but my current hair feels so healthy since I've been using Wen. I really love how soft my hair has been since I started to use Fig. I like the texture of my hair the best when I use fig verses the seasonals or Lavender.

Before Wen:

After Wen:
Unstyled hair:
Just look at my natural highlights, how you can actually see them. Look how healthy my ends look!
Styled hair: styled on the low and cool setting of hair drier with no hair products.
Wen, Wen fig, wen cleansing conditioner, wen cleansing conditioner fig, wen damaged hair, wen saved my hair, wen bleached hair, wen natural highlights, cleansing conditioner, wen fine hair fig, thin hair fig,

Just look at the photos below to see how healthy my hair looks! I just blow dried it on the cool setting to flip the ends.

Just look at the shine and body! I love Fig Wen! You can see the highlights in my hair! This is the thing I love about Wen. Chaz on QVC always goes on about how wen brings out natural highlights. I have to agree with him, I have hi-lift hair. I use only one color on my hair but even with lightening my hair I now notice I have highlights in my hair. I love wen.

Side Note: I love that he has on the bottle a 'common sense' warning. You know don't get this stuff in your eyes cause it stings. Trust me it will, it's happen by accident once or twice when washing it out.

PROS:
  • Smells wonderful
  • Light lingering scent throughout the day
  • Makes hair shiny
  • Hair feels Soft
  • Hair iss not squishy anymore! -yay!!
  • Hair feels so healthy when I run my fingers through it
  • Hair has bounce!
  • I notice my natural highlights now!
  • Doesn't weigh down my fine, thin hair
CONS:
  •  Pricey
  • Can be heavy for oily hair
VERDICT: As I've said before I'm completely smitten with Wen cleansing conditioner and I consider myself a full-fledge Wen girl! If you don't believe me check out my previous reviews.Fall Apple SpiceWinter Cranberry Mint and Wen Lavender  I strongly recommend trying Wen. If you buy from QVC they almost always offer the cleansing conditioners on easy pay with 3 payments! So worth it ladies and men! Your hair will thank you!

TIP:  Right now in the month of June QVC is doing Wen Gallons. It's pricey my end total price was $190.00 (with tax and shipping) but that will last me over 8 months (I have short hair). That's like $24 a month. That's the only thing I buy for my hair. Other than heat protectant or hair oils. I don't use masks, protein, or leave ins anymore. Just Wen cleansing conditioners and wen oils.  I bought the Fig Gallon and I'm so happy I did.

I've seen some comments people claiming that the gallon fig is a different formula then the 16oz and  32oz sizes. I have to say that is false, same ingredients on all 3 containers as well as in the same order.
