After the taxes and shipping you will probably pay $72.54 for all these products that would normally be $153 before tax and shipping. With the easy pay option I paid $25 each payment.

Wen Winter Cranberry Mint Cleansing Conditioner Review

Wen Winter Cranberry Mint Cleansing Conditioner Review, winter cranberry mint wen, wen review, wen, cleansing conditioner review, sulfate free shampoo, sulfate free cleansing conditioner, wen seasonal review,

When I first ordered from QVC I bought Fall Apple Spice the fall seasonal, which I absolutley adored! When QVC offered the 5 pack of 16oz conditioners of the seasonals for only $90 as a Today Special Value (TSV). I knew I had to get it. Thank God for easy pay!!! Click down below to see how I liked the Winter Cranberry Mint Cleansing Conditioner!

What it promises:
What is it: Winter Cranberry Mint Cleansing Conditioner is the newest addition to the WEN seasonal line of products. With a hint of cranberry and mint, this universal formula is the perfect cleanser for the winter months.

Who is it for: Anyone looking to simplify their hair care routine. This one product replaces your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, and detangler.

Why is it different: Chaz Dean designed WEN Cleansing Conditioner from the ground up. It cleanses gently, and the universal formula is the perfect cleanser for all hair types and textures.

How do I use it: Apply Cleansing Conditioner to scalp and hair per the label directions, adding a splash of water to evenly distribute. Massage thoroughly into hair and leave on for the remainder of your shower. Rinse thoroughly and completely. Apply 1/2 to 1 pump depending on hair length and texture as a leave-in conditioner to soaking wet hair. For best results, it is suggested that you cleanse, rinse, and repeat, using half the pumps for the first cleanse, and the remaining half for the second cleanse.

From WEN by Chaz Dean.

What I found:
My friend from my previous review of fall apple spice, here, recieved her Winter Cranberry Mint before me and said it smelt so good! I was beyond excited to recieve it since she said she loved it! Winter Cranberry Mint was the first bottle of 5 that I openned.

My first sniff of this I loved it. It smelled so christmasy it was perfect. It has a strong cranberry scent which is just sweet and lovely, the mint is just a hint. I feel that this scent it spot on and perfect! I do have to admit the scent is super strong. When I was my hair with it the scent lasts all day! Which is great! It's not an overpowering scent just a subtle scent, that I only smell it when I sniff my hair.

As for the moisture punch? Not so much. I personally prefer Fig and Lavender because they are super strength moisurizing. I do like the cranberry mint but it's not as moisturizing as I would hope it to be. Yet at the same time this is an universal scent so it doesn't want to be too heavy for those who haven't beaten up their hair like I did. I didn't expect it to be as moisturizing as Fig and Lavender are.

When I use this I have to make sure I either use oil on my ends or some type of leave-in conditioner. My hair is also super dry AND damaged on the ends so normal non-hair-beater-uppers can use this without the need to put something else in their hair.

Just look how shiny my hair is! It looks so healthy!!

  • Smells delisious!
  • Sulfate Free
  • Hair is so muh healthier when I use it.
  • One stop clean and condition.

  • Pricey as hell! Woah Momma!

VERDICT: Now while this isn't as moisturizing as I hope it would be, nor did it promise to be, I will still recommend this. It's a great wintery scent! But hurry now and get it before it's too late! Still on sale on QVC until March 1st!!! It's currently only $29 for a 16oz cleansing conditioner!

Have you guys tried Wen before? Love it hate it? Tell me about it!

Check out my other Wen review to find the best pick for you!

Sarah Potempa's Beachwaver Hangout with Birchbox

Yesterday, February 19, I was one of three lucky bloggers selected to chat with Sarah Potempa and birchbox about The Beachwaver.  It was so awesome to get to ask her a few questions as well as learn a lot of neat tricks on how to use the Beachwaver!

The beachwaver works best for those who have long hair, about past your shoulders by about two inches. My hair is only a little past my shoulders at this point. Try to grow hair is a pain in the @#*$&^@&!!!!!   Sarah did have a really good advice about how to curl shorter hair.

How to use the Beachwaver on short hair:
  • One thing that can help is slowing down the rotation of the iron. You can do this by holding down the right button for about 8 seconds until low pops up on the small digital screen on the bottom of the beachwaver. I have to say it really does help slowing down the rotation of the wand.
  • Another trick I figured out is you take the smaller than an inch section of hair, clip the end of the section in the clamp. Press the go botton for one full rotation, than you roll the wand by hand the rest of the way. Make sure you angle the wand as you go to get a closer curl. One thing Sarah did stress when talking about the waver is that you do control it. I could always curl it by hand.

Other tips and tricks:
  • One thing I full 100% believe in is that you should never set any heating tool higher than 400. For the beachwaver, my curling iron, and my straightener I never set it higher than 300. My hair is fine, and damged due to lightening it. 300 degress heat works just find with my hair, and the style sticks.
    • If you do not have damaged or fine hair the the standard 350 is great for everyone other hair type.
    • Another tip not just from Sarah, but this is common sense in general: USE A HEAT PROTECTOR!!!!! I mean it ladies, use it. Just think about it you are putting at least a 300 degree metal piece right against your fragil hair, that's non bene (not good!) Please ladies use some sort of heat protector.
  • I personally use Tresamme Heat protector mousse and spray, and usually I use them together. I'm not actually sure if it's proven to give more protection as a duo but it gives me peace of mind.
  • Sarah personally suggested Aussie heat protector:    . She saids you should look for one that also adds moisture and shine. I've never personally used Aussie so I can not vouch for how I like that brand.
  •  The hair should not stay on the wand longer than 10 seconds. That will damge the hair further.
  • Sarah stressed this many time but remember you control the wand. You can stop and start with the light touch of the go button.

I have to say I learned a lot and it was such a pleasure to talk to Sarah and Juliet of birchbox. They were both very lovely people and so nice! I embedded the video if you guys would like to watch. I come in around 11:40 minutes in.

Please ignore how many times I said like, I was beyond excited and nervous about the whole thing!

I'm thinking of actually making a how to video. Would you guys be interested if I started to make videos to go with my blog?

Does anyone else have the beachwaver? How do you like it? Have any tips you would like to share?

Why Do I Wear Makeup Tag

1. When did you begin loving make-up?

Probably around 4 or 5 would be the time. I loved painting my nails and toes in the summer with my mom. That was also the age I hear stories of how I would get into my mom's lipstick and leave kisses around the house, ha! I was pretty devious when I was a kid.

2. How do you feel without make-up?

It really depends, if I'm hanging around the house with my boyfriend or whoever I could care less.

I don't like leaving the house without mascara. That is the one item I would want to take onto a deserted island with me. I don't feel confident in public without mascara. That's probably a bad thing, but I feel like it looks like I have no eyelashes since my are naturally light.

3. What do you like about make-up?

I love how it gives me confidence. If I did my cat eye perfectly when I did my makeup for that day, it just marks it will be a good day.

I like how it can completely change how you look. It's always fun to play dress up.

I always love eye makeup the most because it really helps for my eyes to stand out!

Another reason I like makeup is because it makes me happy. I love giving people makeovers, or just sitting there and playing with the color combos. Makeup is fun to play with.

I don't like makeup because I feel like I need it for others to like me. I like makeup because it makes me happy. I don't wear makeup for the public, I wear it because I feel like wearing it. As much as I don't like not wearing mascara out, I do have days where even I don't feel like wearing makeup. So I don't

4. Three 'Holy Grail' items

Mascara - Benefit They're Real to be exact! Holy Grail mascara for years! It gives my short lashes great length!!

Lumene BB cream.  I love this gives almost medium coverage for a BB cream. It lasts all day when set with powder, it doesn't break me out, and it can be found on sale often!

Essie Bold and Beautiful - It's by far my favorite red polish! It's amazing and a great staple color!

What are your Makeup truths? What are your ladies 'holy grail' items?

Valentines Day Nails

I like every other beauty blogger can not resist doing a Valentine's Day themed manicure. Below is the manicure I created for Valentines Day.
Gelish Make You Blink Pink, Gelish Arctic Freeze, jewelry candle, valentines day, vday nails, valentines day nails, neon pink gel polish

It's a fairly simple manicure. I did a base coat of Gelish 'Make You Blink Pink' I used Gelish 'Arctic Freeze' for the poka dots. I then used a konad white stamping polish for the stamped hearts.

I actually used the stamping plates from the As seen on TV stamping kit. That kit was my first experience with stamping and I've never looked back! I love it!

What is everyone else doing for their Valentines themed nails?

Side note Mr. J just bought me a Jewelry Candle. It smells amazing! It's a creme burlee scented. Which is my absolute favorite dessert ever! I think this company is pretty cool, because the jewelry candle could hold a ring or a bracelet or earrings or a necklace. I like that this piece of jewelry will be a complete surprise!

Gelish Make You Blink Pink, Gelish Arctic Freeze, jewelry candle, valentines day, vday nails, valentines day nails, neon pink gel polish
I have to say creme brulee smells heavenly! It's such a sweet, soft vanilla scent! Not sugary sweet or over powering at all! I love it!

I swear I'm not affiliated with the company at all but I also want to talk about how I really do love the quality of the candle. As well as they sell solely ring surprise candles, which isn't uncommon anymore, but what they do to stand out is they have it so you can pick the ring size! How cool is that? I know that's why I'm sold on them being a size 9 ring girl, it can get hard to find rings that fit you!

Has anyone else gotten a candle from this brand? I would love to hear what goodie you found!

Milani Even-touch Powder Foundation Review

milani, milani even touch powder foundation review, powder foundation, powder foundation review, milani even touch powder foundation shell, milani powder foundation
Since my last episode of using accutane to clear up my acne I've been slowly stopping use of foundation daily and switching to BB creams. Like most of BB creams they're just glorified tinted moisturizers. I was on the hunt to find a powder foundation that would give me coverage so I could skin the BB cream all together. Will this be a love match? Click down below to find out!
