Back in December Mr. J took me to get a few early Birthday gifts, and I had to pick up the seasonal lip scrub from Lush. Who can say no to cinnamon heart candies? I can't! Click down below to see what I thought
What it promises:
Smooth and soften chapped lips with our scrumptious new cola-flavored Lip Scrub. Sugar exfoliates away all the rough, dry bits while coconut oil moisturizes for soft, supple kissers. You'll be smitten with the yummy cola flavor and the smattering of tiny, edible red hearts. Simply rub onto lips and lick off, then apply your favorite gloss, lipstick or our new cola-flavored Santa Baby lip tint. Soft, healthy and tasty lips for the winter season - perfect!
What I found:
I was beyond excited to try this scrub because I love cola flavored items! I love their Mint lip scrub so I was sure I'd love this one as well.
The first thing I notice was all the red dye. Lush seemed to be obsessed with red dye this holiday season! The red dye stains everything and so easily too! Speaking of staining you have to be careful when using this scrub it leaves a red stain behind. It's not attractive right before you go out and you're prepping your lips and the corners are now stained red. The red staining aside I really do love this scrub. It gets all the dead skin off, while moisturizing my lips at the same time. The scrub also taste delish!
- Love the cola taste
- Scrubs all the dead skin away
- Moisturizes my lips
- Stains my lips
- Too much red dye
VERDICT: I really did like this lip scrub a lot, but I'll only use it at night. The staining effect really bothers me. I don't like all the red dye in this lip scrub. I won't buy this next year if they bring it back. It's a skip for me.
Did any of you lovelies pick this up? What did you guys think of it?
