I saw a swatch of this polish on another blog, and I just knew I had to have this gel polish for myself. Click down below to see swatches and a review!

What it promises:

The Ink Soak-Off Gel Polish system features a Base Coat, Color Coat and High Gloss Top Coat. This 100% pure gel formula remains flawless for up to three weeks of wear and removes in just 5 minutes. With more than 178 different shades to choose from the Ink system offers one of the biggest selection in the industry. Cures within 30 seconds for LED light or 2 minutes for UV light (36 watts or higher). Available in .5 oz or 15 ml.

What I found:
I bought this polish off of amazon, through an affiliated link from another blogger. I never looked at the brands website. The blogger in question claimed that this was a "minty teal blue" which was a lovely bright blue on her blog.

So me, being me I excitedly bought it because I thought it was the perfect color. As soon as I got it I used this gel polish in my next manicure. I was then instantly disappointed. It was no where near a "minty teal blue" The only color that should be used to describe it is mint.  You can see in my swatch below it's a pale, sheer, minty color.

So after I finished my manicure I looked at Glam and Glits website and found this color is displayed as a mint color. As seen here:

So the lesson of this is, always check photos for signs of photoshop or color correction. One way I learned to spot photo editing is if there is a 'light shine' in the same position in each photo.

The Glam and Glitzs Cameo, itself is super watery. I got a tip from another glam and glits user is to give the bottle a good shake before use which I did. This manicure ended up being a mess due to it's wateriness. It was hard to use since it pooled in my cuticles even when used in thin coats.

The swatch above is a base coat with 3 coats of cameo and a top coat. I'm not sure on the wear time of this gel polish because I took this polish off soon after these pictures were taken.  I do have to say I only had to soak my nails for 7 minutes before the polish just peeled off!! I definitely want to see if I like another color from this brand!

PROS:
  • Lot's of polish for $12. A whole .5 oz
  • Full size bottle (.5 oz) verses only a mini  bottle you find with gelish(.3 oz) in sally's.
  • Only took 7 minutes of soaking before it peeled off whole!!! LOVED that!
CONS:
  • Watery
  • Sheer
VERDICT: I'm not a fan of this particular polish, this is a pass for Inked soak-off Cameo. I'm not going to swear of this brand yet. I want to try more than one polish before I say this is a bad brand. Anyone have suggestions for what color to try next?
