OPI Liquid Sand in Alcatraz...Rocks Swatch and Review

Purchased

I am extremely late on this trend I know, but I was on the fence for an extremely long time, I'm more of a glossy girl to be honest. I was so unsure of buying a sand polish. The whole no top coat threw me off.

OPI Liquid Sand in Alcatraz...Rocks, liquid sand, opi texture, alcatraz rocks,
In a post soon to come I had the biggest issue with a gel manicure, it was late at night and I didn't have the time to start over. This was in my box of untried. I decided to give this a whirl since I heard these had fast dry times.

True to its promise within 10minutes after the second coat it was completely dry and I could finally go to bed.
Pros:

  • Easy to apply, going on like normal polish
  • Dry time is extremely fast 15 from start to finish
  • It's beautiful to look at with its multicolored glitter

Cons

  • Lasted 2 days before majorly chipping
  • Rough texture - yes I know that this is the point of textured polish

Honestly I just think textured polish is just not for me. I prefer a smooth polish in my nails. I didn't like the feel of how rough it is. It's such a shame because its such a beautiful polish. The pictures just don't do it justice.

A navy base with purple, green and silver fine glitter in the mix it's so lovely to look at in the sun.

Verdict: This polish is gorgeous to look at but unfortunately textured polish is just not for me.  Pass, sells for $9
