Funky Fingers Partly Cloudy from the Solar Collection Swatch and Review

funky fingers, color changing polish, funky fingers partly cloudy, solar collection, funky fingers solar collectionI picked up Partly Cloudy on a whim while I was at five and below the other day. I loved the mint color, and if it changed colors. Cool. If not, well it's still a pretty color! So does this change into it's promise dark grey color? Click down below to find out!

I'm a sucker for nail trends. Nail polish that changes color in the sun was one I couldn't not try. I picked up Partly Cloudy which is a lovely mint color, which is supposed to change into a dark grey color.

The formula of the polish wasn't the best. It was streaky on the first coat. On the second coat it evened out. I suggest painting thing coats for best results. Dry time, it took me 25 minutes on this manicure. I didn't use a top coat. I was afraid it would mess with the color changing properties.

Here's the disappointing part. It didn't turn a dark grey color. It was more a purple duo chrome type of color. It also didn't fully change colors. Such a bummer. What is even more of a disappointment was that after a couple times of in and out of the sun. It just stopped changing colors all together! What a bummer.

VERDICT: This is a fun idea, but doesn't actually work. $5 can be found at Five and below.
