Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner Review

Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner Review, neutrogena, toner,
I don't have the best skin thanks to my genes. Because of that I always make sure I take every step available to make sure my skin stays healthy and clear.

I decided to try something a little more nicer to my poor sensitive skin. My skin usually loves Neutrogena products so I decided to give this a whirl.

Trelly Polish: Lisa Frank is Da Bomb Review

trelly polish, Trelly Polish: Lisa Frank is Da Bomb Review, Lisa Frank is Da Bomb Review
If you were a crazy like me you were stalking Trelly's Polish Etsy store back in May. I have been itching to get my hands on this specific polish since April, see post here.

I was one of those lucky enough to get a bottle of this on the first stock.  It has been a dream come true since I got my hands on it.

The polish is a jelly packed to the brim with glitter! There's tiny black glitter, heart glitter in black, silver AND pink, Pink and blue circle glitter. It looks like Lisa Frank brand puked all over my nails. I love it!

Each brush stroke is backed with glitter. I did try and move the placements of the hearts from time to time, but this isn't a glitter than needs to be placed. I love all the heart glitter!

This polish is only a topper so wearing polish underneath helps it look better. I am absolutely in love with this polish. It spices up all kinds of boring colors, such as Zoya Dove which is what I had underneath in this.

Trelly Polish is an awesome indie polish maker. She's also super sweet in real life as well. I strongly suggest you to pick up a bottle or two of her polishes when her shop returns from vacation once her vacation is over.

You can see why I love Trelly polish here and here.

VERDICT: I strongly suggest picking up this shade, or any shade from Trelly Polish. It's $9 a bottle. It can be bought on etsy here.

Coupons are your best friends. CVS edition

I just shelled out a ton of money on tires for my car but I still needed a few essentials that couldn't be put off any longer. I looked through my old CVS receipts and my CVS online account and printed out a few coupons.

I only needed a new face wash, sunscreen, toner and 2 notebooks.
Below are the coupons I ended up using for my order.

  •  I received an email from CVS Online for a $5 off an purchase of $15 or more.
  • $1 off a notebook purchase of $5 or more.
  • $1 off Neutrogena purchase
  • $2 off a skincare purchase of $10 or more.
  • $2 off a sunscreen purchase.
  • Also Neutrogena suncreen was on sale for $7.99 I found that from looking at the flyer.

I saved $15 on my total that is a lot of savings. Sometimes if you just look at the coupons you have you can save a lot of money. I always suggest looking for coupons before buying at CVS they are always running sales that can be combine with coupons to make it even cheaper.

Another great thing is that the witch-hazel toner I bought has a mail in rebate. That's even more money saved, which this one was a nice surprise.

The moral of this blog post is you too can save a ton of extra money at CVS all you have to do is set up and online account to link with your CVS member card, they are always sending money saving coupons in their emails. Keep the coupons at the end of your receipts as well because they will save you money.

What was the most you saved at one time at CVS? Does anyone else do this or am I a crazy couponer?

Ipsy June 2013 bag

 Purchased, affiliated link.
ipsy bag, ipsy bag june 2013I can honestly say I had high hopes for this bag, it promised a NYX blush which is my favorite brand for blushes. There was an opportunity to get a brightening liner. Which I really wanted. I did always wondered about Pssst dry shampoo. Best part the bag would be cheetah print. My favorite kind of print.

I can say I was pretty eh about this bag. I wasn't disappointed like I was for the last bag. But I'm not impressed either. I got another lip liner. No surprise there. I'm pretty sure I'm going to can my Ipsy subscription next month if I get one more lip liner.

I actually got a nice bag this time. There's only one product that I wouldn't use and that's the glitter eyeshadow. Glitter just isn't my look. I haven't tried any of the products so I can't talk about quality but I know for a fact I got more than what I paid for my bag.

One thing that really pissed me off was that it took FOREVER to get my bag. It was 'sent out' two weeks before. I don't like that they changed shipping companies. My first bag I got it within the same week it was sent out. That's a huge turn off!

What did everyone else get in their bags? What did you think? Will anyone get rid of their Ipsy subscription this month?

If you want to try Ipsy for yourself click through here and help me out! It's only $10 a month to get a surprise bag of goodies. You can always find spoilers to find out ahead of time what  you get. They do give more full sized and bigger sample sizes than birchbox.

Birchbox Exclusive: Color Club Nail- Reign in Spain Swatches

birchbox exclusive, color club nail polish birchbox, birchbox polish, color club nail polish, color club reign in spain swatch, reign in spain

I can not say how thrilled I was to recieve the nail color I did. Well honestly as long as I didn't get the off white color I would be happy. Let's get down to the part you actually care about!

How it applied
birchbox exclusive, color club nail polish birchbox, birchbox polish, color club nail polish, color club reign in spain swatch, reign in spainWell I do have to say I did paint my nails outside. It was too beautiful to stay in. I sat in the shade and it was a little breeze. I'm explaining the conditions because I'm convinced my application problems was because I was painting them outside. The first coat was just about a disaster. It was was patchy and a bit goopy (I think because it was hot and windy). Thankfully when I put the second coat on I had no coverage problems. It did take FOREVER to dry. It felt gooey for at least an half hour, even when I put a fast dry top coat on.

After all was said and done my nails are a beautiful neon coral color. It practically glows in the dark, my favorite type of neon color! I can't comment on the wear time for this since I've only had this on for two days so far. I don't even have wear on the tips yet so I'm going to say this a good sign!

I definitely say this a great polish to have in anyone's collection! It's perfect for the summer and beach trips!

Worth the Splurge? Benefit Stay Don't Stray Review

I was one of those people that raved about Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I swore by it, then I found Elf's eye primer, then swore by that. It had a much cheaper price tag too! I was excited when I saw I received this in my birchbox. I know a lot of people love this primer too, and I wanted to see how it compared!

May 2013 Favorites

I actually have a lot of favorites  this month. I'm going to start with the non-makeup favorites first.

Lush's Ponche this was a shower gel released in the Christmas collection. I love it's fruity orange scent. I saved this for use in the summer since this isn't a moisturizing shower gel. Review here

Eucerin Original Healing Cream this is the thickest cream ever, thicker than body butter. I love it for applying to my legs after I shave. It makes my skin feel smoother and more moisturized. I know a lot of people don't like heavy creams in the summer. I think it's worth using at night. I say this because lets be honest ladies we probably shave our legs 3 times a week in the summer. I do.

Neutrogena Acne Stress Toner I've been breaking out a lot lately so I pulled out the big girl toner. I really like this toner because it's strong. I really feel it helps clean my skin after I wash it, the proof is on the dirty puff after use!

Aloe Vera Gel this stuff is essential in the summer! I do wear sunscreen a lot. I apply often, but sometimes you still get burnt. I just recently burnt my back to a crisp when my friend and I went swimming the other day. So of course I pulled this out. Target makes a great one.

Next up are my makeup favorites!

Mirabella Lip Lustre Liner in Hypnotic  I got this in my first ipsy bag, and love it! I use this pencil when I use my MAC Red Russian, and Sail Le Vie. It really does help me stay within the lines!

I've been loving Milani ultrafine liquid liner in Emerald Glisten This stuff really lasts! The color payoff after 2 layers is amazing! Just the fun color needed to wear in the summer! Review here

With all these parties, and birthday celebrations I've been going to in May I've been wearing a lot of lipstick.

MAC Sail Le Vie has been a rediscover for me. I recently learned I actually love this orangey color on me. I've been wearing it with a simple winged liner. It's something different then my usual red lipstick I wear when I go out. Review here.

MAC Please Me This is my day lipstick. It's a lot like my lips but better, pinker. I rarely wear this when I go out. If I do it's because I've did a smokey eye, which this goes great with!

MAC Russian Red I've recently won this in a giveaway. I love wearing Red lipstick when I go out, and this instantly became my favorite red to wear. I'm kicking myself for not getting this sooner!

These are my May favorites, what are yours? Does anyone have a good sunscreen suggestion?
