E.L.F. Studio Mascara Primer Review

I'm going to admit this right away I have a disease called eyelash envy, paired with laziness. I always want a luscious fringe without any work, or use of fake lashes. Hence my search for a great mascara and eyelash primer. I made an order on elf a few months ago and threw this in last minute. I figured I'd give it a try since it's only $3.

Click down below to see what I think of it!

WHAT IT PROMISES:
Lengthen and volumize eyelashes instantly with this Mascara Primer. Revitalize lashes with Pro-Vitamin B5, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Soy Protein-enriched formula. An excellent conditioning base for mascara. Coat each lash with this nourishing primer for lashes that appear naturally thicker, longer and stronger!

WHAT I THINK:

No matter how clean I think my lashes are, I somehow get some black residue transferred onto the wand. I honestly don't think it's that much of a big deal, but it does bother me. OF course this is no fault of the product whatsoever.

HOW I USE IT:
I apply this primer to freshly curled lashes. It applies white but I promise it dries clear. After a minute when it dries I then proceed to apply my regular mascara.

I'm going to jump right to photos since they can explain better how this mascara primer works.
My naked lashes - (please excuse the unruly eyebrows)
My lashes after primer was applied and dried.

Both photos, top and bottom are when mascara is layer over the primer. In these photo I used Maybelline's One by One mascara in blackest black.

PROS:
  • Dries clear, leaving no white residue color
  • no odor
  • Fibers grab onto lashes and stays
  • Doesn't bother my eyes
  • Lashes seem healthier even when not using the primer
  • Amazing $3 price point
CONS:
  • Has the potential to bother those with sensitive eyes.
  • Hard to find, can only be bought from their online store
VERDICT: As you can see from my super small list of cons I love this product. I will most definitely be repurchasing it next month once this hits it's 3 month lifespan! Can be bought online for $3. This is a steal!
