Organix awapuhi ginger Mask Review

I bought this back in the beginning of December when Walgreens was having a bogoFREE organix sale. I mean come on how can you turn down a bogoFREE sale. I can't.

I got this because of the promise to restore dry damage hair, and it has keratin in it. I decided to start with the masks because I've heard good things about them, and a lot of other beauty bloggers have complained about how drying their shampoos feel.
This stuff smells AMAZING! Yum! I loved the scent. The tub is pretty big at least ten uses. The product is a light pink in color. The mask is on the lighter side, felt more like a conditioner than a mask.

I actually had to use quite a bit to feel like it sunk in my hair. The first time I used it I left it in for about 6 or 7 minutes.  ( two songs worth, I can't shower without music. I've gotta have some music for my singing) I didn't add my usual argan oil after my shower because I wanted to see how moisturized my hair felt. While my hair air dried my ends felt like straw.

At first I thought it was because I didn't use my hair oil. The next time I showered I used this mask again, but after I got out I did add the oil. My ends didn't dry like straw again but still was dry and knotted a bit. I didn't like that. I decided to give it one more go. I didn't use shampoo just dampened my hair, threw on a cap and soaked in the tub for an hour. Washed it out. No hair oil again my ends were straw.  SO not using this again!

PROS:

  • Smells AMAZING!
  • Get a lot of product for price
CONS:
  • DRIED MY ENDS OUT!
  • felt like a conditioner not a mask
  • Hair was knotted and felt like straw after use.

VERDICT: It's such a disappointment that this dried out my hair. It smelled so good, and I read a few rave reviews. This dried out my damaged ends. It felt like a conditioner not a mask. This is a skip. Sells for about $8 can be found at your local drugstores, ulta, walmart and target.
