Maybelline's Dream Mousse Liquid Foundation Review

Maybelline's Dream Mousse Liquid in Nude - Light 4

This has been my go to foundation since October? I love it, I am always looking for something better, but the foundations I have tried since hasn't been able to top this.

This foundation comes in a glass container with a pump. I love that because since I feel like I get a better finish when I apply with my fingers, it's easy to get the right about of product.  It has a creamy liquid feel to it. It blends easily onto my face, and dries semi-matte.

This gives about medium coverage. It lasts all day, with only needing to do a concealer touch up once a day. I find that if I use a primer underneath I then have no touch ups. I don't notice a smell with this product. This also doesn't make my acne prone skin breakout which is a deal breaker for me.

When applied to the face it feels lightweight. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing a mask. It doesn't make me feel greasy throughout the day. I set it with Rimmel's matte powder, and I don't look like an oil slick in my Tzone. I honestly really like this product a lot.

Verdict: If you are looking for a medium coverage foundation that is super easy to dispense. Then look no further this is it! I recommend this to anyone who likes to use liquid foundation. At $8 a bottle, that lasts a super long time 4 months of using it about 5times a week, and this bottle is still kicking.

Patene's Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask Review

hair mask, healthy hair, Patene's Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask, patene beautiful lengths, patene hair mask, hair growth, patene, Patene's Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask is one of my favorite hair care items. I use this once or twice every week, and it leaves my hair super soft and smooth. Bonus it smells super great!

It claims: Helps restore moisture and prevent breakage, so you can grow hair longer. *What the container states*

hair mask, healthy hair, Patene's Beautiful Lengths Replenishing Mask, patene beautiful lengths, patene hair mask, hair growth, patene, It comes in a 7.6 fl oz container. It lasts me months. A little goes a long way. It has a creamy feel to it.

White in color, the mask doesn't feel heavy in the hair, and doesn't make my hair greasy afterwards. Leaves hair feeling manageable.

I can't say if I honestly notice any difference in my length of my hair compared to when I didn't use it, but my hair is soft after every use.

I didn't actually notice my hair growing in any healthier. I went through 2 tubs of this and my hair stayed around the same length after every hair cut.

I don't think this is for people with already damaged hair.

Verdict: I would recommend this for anyone who's looking for a decent hair mask. It's not the best out there, but I like it. I would say this would work best for those without damaged hair. I give this an eh rating. .  Can be bought from $4 to $5 at walmart, target and ulta. It fits perfectly into my college budget because of the many uses I get out of it!

Maybelline's GreatLash Lots of Lashes

Maybelline's GreatLash lots of lashes has to be in my top 10 mascara's of all time. But I'm not the only one who think this mascara is awesome. This mascara GreatLash has been around for 40years? I could be wrong but I think it's 40years(too lazy/tired to look it up) The only difference from this Lots of lashes and the regular great lash is the mascara wand.

So the formula is the same great formula that's been around for 40years, gives tons of volume but it's a little shy on the length. I don't mind since the volume is so amazing!

The mascara dries pretty quickly. I put two coats on while it's still wet. There's no flaking throughout the day. I love this I don't have to worry about raccoon eyes, because the tip of the brush is small I can even get my tiny bottom lashes! It lasts all day so no worry about touch ups either.

Down below is what my lashes look like with the mascara on in two coats.

Verdict: Gives lots of volume, reaches your bottom lashes, lasts all day. For $5 it's a no brainer, this needs to be in everyone's makeup collection

Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Powder

Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Powder is a great idea. Too bad that it doesn't really work. I bought this a couple months ago, and forgot to do a review about it. So here it is now.

What it promises: 2 ways in 1 to cover, treat and help prevent breakouts!
  • Blemish treatment with salicylic acid - .5% salicylic Acid.
  • Formula with MicroClear technology treats and helps prevent breakouts
  • Mineral formula is gentle on skin
*found on the bottom of container*
The package is in a circular white container. It comes with it's own mirror and a two sided sponge to give you different coverage. The orange side of the sponge is for sheer coverage and the white side is for fuller coverage.

I found that all the sponge did was absorb the product, it didn't transfer any of the product to my skin. I threw it out shortly after I discovered that. I then began to apply it with my face brush, I didn't notice any change in the appearance of my makeup. So instead of putting this over my foundation I one day tried this on my face without foundation. I received no coverage. There was no difference in the look of my skin. It didn't cover any of my acne.

So I didn't want to give up hope so quickly for about a month and a half I used it to set my face makeup. I was using this in combination of the Neutrogena SkinClearing Foundation. I did not see a difference when using both products in the state of my acne. It didn't make it better but it also didn't make it worse.

Verdict: This item can be found from anywhere from $7 to 9. I find that this product is a waste, it did not help change the appearance of my acne nor did a good job of covering it up. I would not recommend this to anyone. Skip this one.

Guess what I finally got my hands on!!

BABY LIPS!!!!!!!!!
L to R Baby Lips: Cherry Me, Peppermint

AHHHHHHH yaaaaaaay! okay I'm calm now.
If you have been reading my blog, or if you've seen my comments on baby lips reviews on other blogs then you know how bad I wanted to try these bad boys!So this won't be a review, I'm saving that for 4 weeks from now. I just want to write about my reactions from using it for three days.

I bought two baby lips at CVS both cost me about $8 with tax. There wasn't a sale on baby lips but I didn't want to wait since I've been on the prowl for these for weeks. I picked up 'Cherry Me' and 'Peppermint'. I wanted 'Pink Punch' but beggars ca't be choosers.

The packaging is cute. It's a decent size so hopefully I won't loose these. Their smell matches their names. I'm not a fan of their tastes, but I can see past that. They glide on super smooth. They both give me a glossy shine, without the stickiness of gloss. I like the tint 'Cherry Me' gives. Peppermint has no coloring. I also like the moisturizing feel they give me.

So all in all I'm super happy with these so far. We'll see in four weeks for the final verdict! Look out for the review the week of February 5th!!

Kate Moss Rimmel Lipsticks

Today I have just 2 of the 5 Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks to show you.  These Lipsticks were supplied to me by Rimmel for the Rimmel 10 contest.

I just want to start off saying that even with Kate's signature on the tube I'm still in love with it's design. I love the sleekness of the lipstick. It makes it look almost expensive. I've dropped these lipsticks a few times already and they didn't get damaged like other lipsticks I've owed that I've dropped.

Rimmel's Kate Moss Collection L to R shade 01, shade 14
There's a decent amount of lipstick in the tube. I just didn't roll them all the way up just so I could keep the whole thing in the picture.

I love the red shade 01 the most, it's the classic red. Shade 14 is a very pretty tan/pink shade a great nude lip.

The lipstick lasts an extremely long time even with drinking and eating. Just watch out for lip stains on glasses. I was constantly whipping them away when I went out to eat, but my lipstick stayed in place!

I do have to admit that because of the lasting power that the lipstick is a bit drying so I suggest wearing a lip balm underneath. My favorite to use is Strawberry flavor chapstick!

The lipsticks glide on smooth. There is a taste to it, so try not to lick your lips. It has a fruit punch smell to it it fades once you apply it, which I like.

Verdict: Even if these lipsticks are drying they last all through dinner. To me I find that that long lasting wins out. Just use a balm underneath and you'll be fine! I find that retailing at $5 you can't go wrong. Pick up a the red shade 01 at least if you only pick up one. You won't regret it!

Battle of the Lip Balms!

So I grabbed all my chapsicks and lip balms, and decided to do a mass review on them. To compare which products work the best.

Eos Lip balm: I own Summer fruit. It has a very fruity smell and taste to it. I like it. It glides on smooth, and moisturize my lips for a good hour or two. After long term use, my lips didn't seem any better than when I started using this. It keeps my lips from cracking but didn't work wonders. Once this is gone I'm not sure if I would buy another one or not. I do like that I can never loose this in my purse. Maybe if there was a sale.

Bath & Body lip balm: They stopped making these years ago, but I had a hunch they weren't making these anymore so I literally bought 15 of them. I lie to you not. At this point I only have 3 left, I think, I might find another floating around somewhere. The reason I loved these so much was because of all the different scents and flavors these came in. These kept my lips smooth and have SPF of 15. Glided on smooth and had a slight gloss to it. I used these the most in the summer. If they sold these still would I buy it again? No, they taste weird. They also have a waxy feel to them. I also bought about 15 of them at the age of 17 so back then my idea of makeup was much different.

Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter: I heard great things about Burt's Bees lip balms so of course being me I had to go out and try them. This was the first one I tried. It glides on smooth and has a clear slight gloss to it. It feels super heavy on the lips, smells and taste funny. It lasted maybe an hour on my lips. I couldn't get over the taste I used it for about a week before I stopped, so I can't say how it helped me long term.

Burt's Bees Replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil: I didn't want to give up so quickly on the Burts Bees wagon so I went out and bought this to give it a try. It gave my lips a slight barely there red tint. It applied smoothly. It lasted about an hour. It smells and tastes horrible. I wouldn't buy this again either, because I think due to it being 100% natural as it claims it doesn't add any flavoring in it. I didn't notice a big change in my lips either because I didn't use this longer than a week.

Chapstick in Strawberry: This is my go t o chapstick, that never let me down. It gives a slight glossy look to my lips. It tastes and smells super good. It has SPF in it. It glides on smoothly, gives just about 2 hours of moisture before I have to reapply it. It keeps my lips chap free. I would recommend this to all, I keep a tube around at all time.

Nivea's Kiss of Shimmer in Pink: It glides on super smooth and gives a slight shimmery pink tint. It's perfect for date night, or going out. Guys hate when you wear gloss and bright color lipsticks, they don't want to kiss you while your wearing them. But with this it gives you a bit of shimmer and color that most guys don't even notice your wearing anything. This has a good smell but not so great taste. The taste fades within minutes so it's bareable. I wear this a lot when I want to add a bit of color. It keeps my lips smooth. Lasts about an hour or two.

Verdict: Would I buy theses again?
Eos Lip balm: Probably
Bath & Body lip balm: No
Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter: No
Burt's Bees Replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil: No
Chapstick in Strawberry:  Yes
Nivea's Kiss of Shimmer in Pink: Yes

All these products are under $4. All within a college budget.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara

So here's my review of Rimmel's Scandal Eyes. This is the focus of the first challenge in the Rimmel 10 Contest. Don't forget you can vote for me everyday. If you could that would be amazing! I would love to continue being in this challenge! So help me out please!! Now onto the review!

Scandal Eyes comes in this huge bright neon orange container that is impossible to loose. The brush for this is huge. The size of the length of my eye almost. The brush contains soft hair like bristles. It holds lots of product on the brush.  The brush gives lots of length, like makes my lashes super super long. You can really notice my lashes in this photo! No fake lashes used!

The formula on the wet side so it takes about a minute or three to fully dry without worry of smearing. It gives a lot for length, but no volume. The mascara lasts for hours, and didn't smear or fade throughout the day but it did flake a bit. It doesn't do the best of job separating my lashes.

Verdict: When I do run out of this mascara I will probably buy more. I will definitely be using this mascara with a volume boosting mascara. I suggest using this as a layering combo. It gives amazing length but it's lacking on the volume. Almost gives me a spidery look if I don't use it with a volumizing mascara.   I'm not sure on the price of yet because I haven't seen it in the store. But I do know that this mascara won't be more than $10, so it will fit into the college budget.

*Item was supplied by Rimmel.  Given to me to use in the Rimmel 10 Challenge Contest.*

Curel Hand & Cuticle Therapy Review

Curel's Hand & Cuticle Therapy saved my hands this winter. I was looking for Burts Bee's honey and milk body cream when I came across this in Walmart. It was on sale for $2 something when it's usually $3 so I decided to give it a try. Thank god I did!!

What it promises: Curel's Hand & Cuticle Therapy cream soothes even the driest hands on contact and contiunes to moisturize even through repeated hand washings for all-day softness.
  • Relief for dry, chapped hands
  • Helps prevent broken nails by strengthening cuticles
  • Formulated with soy milk, monoi oil and vitamin E
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Absorbs quickly- never greasy
*This all was taken from the tube of the hand cream*

I use it at least twice a day. It's a white lotion that quickly rubs into your skin. It leaves no greasy residue behind. It also has a neutral smell to it. The tube is a decent size 3.5 fl oz. It fits nicely in my school bag, and purse.  I noticed results within a week.

Verdict: I would recommend this to all. It's a amazing lotion that doesn't leave a scent or a greasy residue behind. Now it saids it's a cream but it feels more like a lotion, it's a very light feeling.  Pick it up for only $3, it works better and is cheaper than the heavy hand creams.
