Holiday Nails

Want a cute holiday nail look, but don't have a konad kit, or can't do nail art? Then you're in the same boat as me. Here is a super easy way to do it you just use a dark green polish you have, or buy a cheap one from sinful colors for $2. Then buy a silver shatter polish, (sally hanson, nicole opi, are a few cheap brands to pick from). You paint all your nail in the dark green color, then let dry. Once dry paint the silver shatter polish on top and bam! You have a super easy christmasy look, without have your nails crazily done. Also if your like me and not a fan of doing super christmas themed nails, then this is perfect for you. This is as christmasy as I will decorate myself for christmas.

This could easy fit into a college student budget even if you don't already own these nail polishes. I recommend especially for a college student to invest in a silver shatter polish because it can make a mani last a few days longer because when you paint it over chipped polish no one will know it was once chipped because the shatter covers your chips! Easy all around solution for boring nails/chipped polish.

Need a quick nail fix?

Oh no you have a surprise get together and you need something quick but nice looking to do with your nails. A french manicure is always the best solution! And are super cheap to do. You can get the supplies at your local drugstore, or at Sally's. All you need is a sheer pink, a white polish and the French manicure strips. I bought my french manicure strips for $1.50 at Sally's, and in the pack it has over 100 of the strips so you'll get many uses out of it - a real steal! I had the other polishes in my stash so I didn't need to buy the polishes.

You paint the sheer pink first, let dry. I like to use a speed dry nail polish for this. I then placed the white strips where I wanted to start the white line, painted and bam you have a super easy and nice going out look. To create my french manicure it only took me 15minutes to do then I was ready to walk out the door. As you can see this is a super cute look.

Looks of the Naked Palette vol 1

Okay so the naked palette doesn't exactly fit into a college budget. The price of it is my makeup budget for two months ($48.) So it doesn't exactly have the college friendly price tag. I will say that this is one item to save up for and splurge. This item is honestly needed in everyone's makeup collection in my opinion. It took me two months of saving my makeup budget to buy this palette. Best investment I have ever made. I had this palette for a little over a year, and used it at least three times a week. I have yet to hit bottom in any of the shadows.

So even though there's a naked2 out I will be starting a series I like to call the "Looks of the Naked Palette". I find that it's always nice to see how other people use a palette, and let me tell you there's tons of looks you can do. Now enough of my babble onto the makeup look.

1. I patted  toasted on my lid with an elf C brush. 2. Then I put hustle on my crease and the corner of my lid with a elf fluffy brush. Blended the crease up a little. 3. Lined my eye with maybelline's eyestudio gel liner in black. 4. I finished off with Maybelline's lots of lashes mascara.

As you can see this is a really simple and easy eye look that can be done in less than 10mins. This has been a go to morning look for school for me.

Baby Oil is a Godsend

Baby oil I just discovered is a godsend. It removes the toughest makeup and hydrates my skin and makes my lashes grow. It's a three in one.

So I read on some many different blogs about using baby oil on your eyelashes, and lids. So in October (So long ago I know) I went out and bought some Baby Oil. I apply it to my lids and lashes at night to remove my makeup before I wash my face. I leave it on my eyes for about a half hour to a hour then I wash my face and run water over my lids to wash away the oil. I find that it was too heavy and clogging to leave it on my eyes over night.

I also apply it to my legs after I shave them and my legs have never been smoother. A little goes a long way. I also love the smell of baby oil. So that's always a plus.

As for making my eyelashes grow I have to say they aren't as sparse as they were before. They are also a little longer, but it's not a miracle eyelash growing product. I just noticed that my lashes were healthy so they grew longer.

So in a nutshell go out and buy baby oil. It's a cheap three in one product, but remember a little goes a long way!!

I need help!!!

Okay so I bought this foundation maybe a year or two ago, it was my go to foundation, except the color is a shade too light so I stopped using it.  My I NEED HELP comes in by; does anyone know a foundation that is just like this? As far as I know they don't make this foundation anymore and I would love to buy something just like it.
SO any suggestions? I totally need any and all feedback about this! Thanks lovelies!!

November Favorites

Is anyone out there?? *cricket. cricket.* haha Wow I've been gone for almost a month. I'm super sorry and ashamed. School, and work just took over my life. I started teaching swim lessons at work along with lifeguarding and being a full time student, just gets crazy sometimes. Sorry!!

Onto what you ladies want to read about. Last months favorites. I have pretty small selection of Favorites this month because you seen mostly everything I use on a daily bases as a favorite already, no one wants repeats!

Dolce & Gabbana Rose the one is one of my absolute favorite perfumes!! It's such a subtle lovely rose scent that doesn't overpower you, and also doesn't remind me of a Grandma vibe. I know that rose scents can be super hard to find without the thought of grandmas.  I only wear it during the cold months, it's way too heavy for summer and spring. It has a sexy feel to it which I love.

Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power Clear Scrub I have most of the Stress Control line, and I use it everyday, I sometimes mix other products in my daily regiment. I noticed after two months an extreme improvement in my acne. I've seen better results then using Acne-Free Severe system that I reviewed here.  It surprised me with the results I've achieved. It's not all cleared up but there is a noticeable difference. I just wish they had something with scarring fading with this line.

Maybelline Great Lash lots of lashes in blackest black. Just does wonderful things for my lashes. It's awesome!!! It doesn't make my lashes feel or look weighed down. I love this and recommend this to everyone, look out for an up coming review on this product.

E.L.F. All over stick in Lilac Petal and Spotlight I learned this really awesome trick from my sister-in-law who's an makeup artist. That I use when applying my blush and it gives my face this really pretty glow, I've been using the both of them almost everyday. There will be either a video or a big photo heavy post on how to do this. We'll see what I do. Not sure yet.

I hope you ladies like my favorites. Until next time! Which will be soon since I've got 3 things already scheduled to be posted!!
