Elf quad in Rocker

So there's a select few ELF products I actually like  and this is one of them. I find with ELF no matter what it is, that with me it's always a HIT or a MISS. The Elf eyeshadow quad in Rocker is a really cute combo of colors. Great for day or night. Click down below to see what I created with this quad and my thoughts on it.
I love the pale gold color in this quad, I just wish the color payoff was a lot better. I have to say the the color payoff in this quad isn't the best. The white is nice and so is the black. The purple and gold apply almost sheer so you have to layer it on to get some good color. I used this in two looks. The first one is my day time look.
The day time look, used only the gold and purple shadows

I take a eyeshadow brush and I apply the gold color all over my lid. Then I take a fluffy blending brush and apply the purple color to my crease. Because this purple color is sheer it's not too dark that this couldn't be worn as a day time look.

Night look, used all four colors in quad

For my night time going out look, or even I wear this during the day if I have time to blend. I take a eyeshadow brush and I apply the gold color all over my lid. Then I take a fluffy blending brush and apply the purple color to my crease. Then I take an angled brush and apply the black color to my eyelid in a V on my lash line in the corner of my eye and connect it to the corner crease. I then take the fluffy brush and soften the look of the black. I use the white to highlight then Bam you have an awesome night look.

Okay now here's what I think about this quad as a whole. Well even with UDPP and my NXY eyeshadow base in pearl, the colors aren't really that vibrant. They look great close up but from far away you loose the greatness of the color. The staying power is there, it doesn't crease, but it does fade. I wore this in the morning it looked great all day.  Then at night whole day time look I did looks grey when I look at it. I want to know where all that color pigment went? How does it disappear without smearing??

Veridic: Okay so the color payoff isn't there, but the color go great together. It's a dollar, what do you have to lose. I might by it again. The only reason it isn't a yes is because I don't reach for it much being the color color payoff is just not there.
